Trained as an electrician, Atle's now had 25 years dedicated to operations, maintenance, and security at various Radisson Blu hotels. In the last 2 years, he's been working at Norway's finest museum, the Norwegian Maritime Museum, gaining an overview of the condition of the building stock, technical systems, and infrastructure. Much of this dates back to the 1960s and shows a significant maintenance backlog and lack of general upgrades. This summer, they've been actively involved in a small volunteer effort with some other building and technology enthusiasts, concentrating on energy consumption, reduction, and control.
